Bonjour ladies and gentlemen! Today's daily scribe will be TWO STEPS ALGEBRA. So we will begin in 3, 2, 1...

Starting with the first example: 3n + 8 =20

Step 1. Remove the zero pairs. Use the opposite operation to remove zero pairs. Do the same thing to the answer using the same number you've used to remove the zero pairs.
Step 2.  After you've removed the zero pairs, you are left with a co-efficient variable and an answer.
Step 3. Now uses the opposite operation using the number of the co-efficient variable. Do the same thing to the answer.
Step 4. You are now left with the answer( make sure the letter is always on the left side).

NOW FOR THE SECOND EXAMPLE:
Step 1. Do the same thing as Step 1 and Step 2.
Step 2. For the opposite operation, instead of using adding and subtracting sign, use a multiplication sign ( ). What is the opposite of division? Multiplication.
Step 3. Now, multiply the co- efficient variable to get to a zero pair. On the other side, just multiply it.
Step 4. NOW YOU ARE LEFT WITH THE ANSWER.

Hey fellow scribers! Today I will be teaching you how to do Two Step Algebra with division. I will give you two examples.

First Example: 





Now What you want to do first is you want to get rid of your constant with the opposite order of operations. So now you are left with this:


Now you are left with your coefficient variable and your answer. So you are probably left with something like this:

Next thing you want to do is you want to take out your coefficient and isolate the variable. So now what you want to do is you solve this like a one step algebraic equation. Which is using the opposite order of operations and canceling it out. Just like this:






Now you are left with your answer which is x = 8. Good job! You did it! You are the real MVP at math am I right?? Lets see if you are actually the real MVP. I challenge you to do one more question to prove me that you are the real MVP. 


Second Example:  

 
First thing you do is you take out the constant with the opposite order of operations. Since its -1, you want to do +1. And since you did it to one side, you want to balance it on the other side with a +1 too. It should be looking something like this:
Now, you have taken out the constant and you have balanced out your equation. Next thing you want to do is you want to isolate the variable. Solve this like a one step equation. Use the opposite order of operation to isolate the variable. It should look something like this:

Now that you have isolated your variable, you got to your answer! Eyyyyyyy! You did it! You proved yourself, you are the true MVP! Good job!

If you come across a question like -x=17 here's how it would look to answer.

Questions like this 1/-3x=4/3 with the same denominator can be solved like this.

I'm pretty sure this is all but to end every question you will have to verify.

• You Change 1 to a variable if it's not 1, then any numerator that has the variable.
• You divide the numbers with the one with the variable.
• What ever you do to one side, you do to the other.
• After you have your answer. VERIFY!!!!!1 otherwise you'd fail... like me.

For question # 2 and 3 just make sure you rewrite the question again when you make the coefficient a negative.
* For the verifying, it's supposed to be "let n = -10" *

*then circle all of your intergers then solve it.

• First we made round brackets, square brackets.
• Next we substituted the variable with the given number (color coat the substituted number)
• Then order of operations finish the integers inside the brackets and end up with only one integer.
• Then solve!
• Remember in this one you don`t have to verify so YES!!

•  First, you have to do is put the variable(n) first then the 2 constants (+3 and -6)beside it. 
• Next, answer the 2 constant (in this question the 2 constants are +3 and -6 and you should get -3 as your answer.)
• After, rewrite the question variable first and constant after, this will make a one step algebra equation.
• Once you have the one step algebra equation, isolate the variable by canceling out zero pair( the zero pair in this question is -3 and 3 make sure to do the same method on the other side to make it balance). Isolating means using an opposite operation to make the variable by itself. 
• And now your answer should be n=15.
• Don't forget to VERIFY your answer!
• To verify your answer make a statement saying let n=15.
• Next rewrite the question.
• Rewrite the question again but this time replace the n with your answer which is 15.
• Answer the first 2 constant (3+15).
• Now replace 3+15-6 with 18-6.
• Answer it and you should get 12=12 as your answer.

• Isolate the variable.
• Cancel by putting an opposite operation.
• What you put on one side, put it on the other side, Make sure to keep the equation balance.
• VERIFY your answer by CHECKING it.
